Above is the proof! Craig and Andrew together again on stage! The Boats wish to thank everyone who came out to the show in Bristol. The pair had such fun and hope everyone enjoyed the sneak preview of their new material! They have returned to the studio to finish the mixes on the yet to be titled new album. Plans are for a late 2013 release. Further developments will be posted here. Thanks to [antonymes] for the photo.

This week sees the debut live performance of The Mistys. If you in Berlin why not go and get yourself a dose of their recombinant mutant pop! Details here.
If that wasn’t exciting enough their debut single Stalking/Drawers (the inaugural release on The Boats curated Other Ideas) will be available from Boomkat later in the week! The single is an edition of 200 and comes in a choice of 2 sleeves (pictured above).

At the close of 2012 Craig and myself met up to discuss the future of The Boats. After a strange few years we felt that a change was needed to keep things from falling into a status quo. As a result it was decided to spend some time on other projects and let The Boats take a back seat for the coming year. Our efforts as The Boats would be concentrated on recording and launching our new label Other Ideas. On no account were we to play live! Not until 2014 at the earliest! Deal! That was the plan until we got an email from Dan! If it had been from anyone else it would have been met with a polite no, but thanks. The thing is Dan’s special, really special! Not having to twist Mr Tattersall’s arm to play his first Boats show in four years kinda special! Lets just come right out and say it The Boats fucking love Dan!
So this Saturday is your only chance to see Craig and myself in live formation this year! We are taking this opportunity to preview some of our new ideas and would be thrilled to see as many of you there as possible!
The line up for this event is really special too, our good friend Danny Norbury will be playing with our hero aus! The last time I saw these two play in Japan was pure magic! It is exciting to be playing alongside Isnaj Dui again (fun fact this was also the last time Craig played live with The Boats). We are both looking forward to watching Orla Wren, Cello and Laptop and Ruhe for the first time!
100% of the profits for this show will go to St James House, Bristol which is a third stage addiction recovery house.
Hope to see you there
